 Carver Top Runner For Cross Country Team

September 17, 2008 - Knightstown’s coed cross country teams hosted Shenandoah and Blue River last week. The Raiders boy won the meet, with the Vikings finishing second and the Panthers coming in third place.

Adam Carver was the top Knightstown runner, coming in 11th place in a time of 21:20. James McKenney was 13th in 21:36 and Ridge Gaskin was 15th in 22:22. Isaac Gosnell finished in 16th place in 23:02, Dylan Altman was 17th in 24:32 and Nick Hammer was 20th in 32:09.

The Knightstown girls team finished in second place in their meet. Shenandoah won the girls meet and Blue River was third.

Times for the Knightstown girls included Kathleen Weiland 27:34, Sunshine Zeilinga 28:54, Brittany Osborn 28:56, Lydia Long 30:38 and Cassie House 33:52.

The coed teams run at New Palestine Thursday against the Dragons, Morristown and Triton Central. They participate in the Union County Invitational on Saturday.
