 Older Timer's Reunion Saturday

July 16, 2008 - Races at the Mt. Lawn Speedway Saturday night were rained out just after the trophy dashes and the Mini Cup heat race.

New Castle’s Jason Atkinson set fast time for the evening in his new Ford-powered Taurus at 16.567, and Terry Cater of New Castle won the Razzles Dash for Cash.

Cambridge City’s Kevin Claborn set fast time at 18.709 in the Dependable Drywall Thunder Car division, and Shirley’s Pam McConnell won the dash for cash.

In the Collins Auto Service Hornet class, Chris Jennings of Richmond set fast time at 20.079, and Keith Morris of Mt. Summit won the dash for cash.

This weekend will feature the Old Timers Reunion at Mt. Lawn, with festivities getting under way at 11 a.m. The Founders Day 100 will top the evening racing activity, with a 100-lap Thunder Car event paying $1,000 to the winner. Late Models and Hornets will also be on the program.
