 Hiner, Trautmann, Altman and Hatfield Claim Major Girls Basketball Awards

March 12, 2008 - Freshman Megan Hiner won the Mental Attitude Award and senior Diana Trautmann was presented the award for Most Assists during the awards banquet held for the Knightstown girls varsity basketball team.

Danielle Altman won the Miss Hustle Award and was also presented the plaque for being the team’s leading rebounder. Sabrina Hatfield was also a multi-award winner, for Best Overall Field Goal Percentage and Best Free Throw Percentage.

Megan Hiner also won the award for Most Steals.

Altman, Hatfield, Trautmann, Megan Hiner, Hatfield, Brittany Brown, Megan Chew, Haley Cruse, Cassie Hammer, Natosha Hiner, Haley Morgan, Hannah Smith and Jocelyn Sturgill were all awarded varsity letters.

Reserve certificates were presented to Ashkia Howard, Taylor Weber, Miranda White and Brittany Jolley.

Weber won the junior varsity Mental Attitude Award, while Morgan was given the plaque for Miss Hustle. Hammer was named Most Improved, while Chew was the plaque winner for being the team’s leading scorer. Smith received the Most Steals plaque and Howard the Leading Rebounder plaque for the junior varsity.
