 Eastern Hancock First, KHS Second at Morton Memorial Meet

October 3, 2007 - Knightstown’s varsity cross country team finished second in a three-way meet last week against Eastern Hancock and Morton Memorial.

James McKinney led the Panther effort with a 5th place finish. He was followed across the finish line by Adam Rutledge and Zach Hinds, who cam in 6th and 7th respectively. Zach Small has 9th, Dylan Altman 11th and Nick Hammer 14th.

Eastern Hancock won the meet with 22 points, while Knightstown had 33.

The Eastern Hancock girls also won their varsity meet, finishing with 15 points. Knightstown had a team score of 40.

Kynten Hammer led the Lady Panthers with a 7th place finish. Sunshine Zeilinga was 8th, Brittany Osbourne 9th, Lydia Long 11th and Cassie House 12th.

The cross country teams will complete in the White River Athletic Conference meet Thursday at Knightstown.
