 Knightstown Jr. High Golf Team Finishes 5-3

 

May 16, 2007 - Knightstown’s junior high golf teams finished their season on a strong note, with the varsity completing a 5-3 campaign, and the JV closing out at 4-4 on the year.

The team lost a tough battle in the season finale Friday to Rushville 185-190.

They defeated Eastern Hancock 200-201, and fell to Pendleton Heights last week 168-194.

Against the Lions, Knightstown shot very well against the bigger school.

Joey Wyatt led the Panthers with a 45, while Clay Ratliff shot a 46 and Kamron Beavers fired a 49.

D.J. Warwick had a 50, Nolan Hall a 54 and Cory Back a 55.

In the JV match, Erin Bundy fired a 53 to come in low for Knightstown.

Cody Juday had a 55, Matt Newell shot 59, Daniel Day 60, Shelby Wayman 61 and Baylie Hochstedler had 69.

 

 

Knightstown won its fifth match of the season by defeating the Royals 200-201.

Joey Wyatt again led the team with an impressive 43.

Clay Ratliff shot a 51, Nolan Hall had 52, Kamron Beavers 54, D.J. Warwick 55 and Erin Bundy shot 60.

In the junior varsity match, Cory Back led the team with a 51.

Matt Newell and Cody Juday each shot 56, Shelby Wayman had a 63, Daniel Day and Baylie Hochstedler both shot 70.

 

 

Knightstown ran into a rock-solid Arabian team last Tuesday, but Clay Ratliff played well with a team-low 45.

Joey Wyatt followed with a 47, D.J. Warwick shot 49, Nolan Hall had 53, Kamron Beavers 54 and Cory Back 64.

In the junior varsity match, Cody Juday shot a 55, Erin Bundy had 56, Baylie Hochstedler 62, Daniel Day 63, Matt Newell 70 and Shelby Wayman 72.
