Boogey Down - One Side Later Wins Contest

May 21, 2008 - Local blues-rock band One Side Later recently won a battle of the bands contest in Mooresville at Joe’s Grill 7, a bar and restaurant.

The contest, held Sunday afternoon, decided who will play at The Boogey, a national A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers Aimed Toward Education) event held in Springville on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18. The band also won a $200 cash prize and an additional booking at Joe’s Grill 7. Bands were judged on showmanship and musicianship by three professional musicians.

One Side Later is made up of Jon McKinney, a 2004 Knightstown High School graduate, Stuart Cotton, a 2005 Knightstown High School graduate, and Bryce Robertson, a 2007 Knightstown High School graduate.
