McRoberts Lauded at IU East
May 14, 2008 - The Indiana University East Honors Program recently inducted 14 students for the 2008-2009 academic year. Local students who were initiated during the Honors Program Induction Ceremony held April 17 included Monica McRoberts of Shirley.
This is the largest group of Honors students to be inducted in one year since the program was established in 2004.
The Honors Program provides an intellectually enriched curriculum for highly motivated students, allowing them to demonstrate academic excellence through Honors coursework, independent research, creative work, and extracurricular opportunities.
Honors students will have the opportunity to participate in the Mid East Honors Association (MEHA) conference in March 2008, held in Indianapolis. Two students, Kisha Jennings and Stephanie Stewart, presented papers at the conference this year.
