Brown Attends Meeting in Rhode Island

May 14, 2008 - Kevin Brown was among the many members of Selected Independent Funeral Homes attending the association’s group meeting in Providence, Rhode Island. Brown is President of Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service located in New Castle and Knightstown.

“It is always a valuable experience to get together with my independent funeral director colleagues,” said Brown. “This meeting focused on providing exceptional service to bereaved families. I gained valuable insight and information that will help our funeral home succeed in serving the families of our community with an even higher level of compassion and care.”

Brown was among the many participants at this meeting who spent time engaged in the formal discussion of ideas and solutions to the many challenges faced by today’s independent, community-oriented businesses like Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, which has been a member of Selected Independent Funeral Homes since 1996.

The association was founded in 1917 and is the world’s oldest and largest association of independently owned funeral homes. Its members represent the “best in class” and operate under the strictest standards. As a professional association, Selected Independent Funeral Homes actively promotes the use of best practices by its members to assist them in providing consumers with the finest care available.
