 Brenda Reece Hosts Extension Homemakers

February 27, 2008 - The regular meeting of the Town and Country Extension Homemakers was held February 19 at the home of Brenda Reece.

President Pam Bever called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance and the Homemaker’s Creed were recited. For devotions, Reece read “Nail in the Fence,” which stressed how verbal wounds are sometimes as bad as physical wounds, and they always leave a mark.

Roll call was answered by five members. They responded to the question, “Which do you prefer – light or dark chocolate?” Reece gave the Treasurer’s Report.

For the Health and Safety Report, Diana Lee reported on “The Lowdown on Lemon Slices.” Pam Bever gave a lesson entitled, “Managing Those Memories.” She listed basic supplies needed for scrapbooking. She also gave out supply buying tips and some helpful hints on how to start scrapbooking.

The meeting adjourned after the lesson. Reece then served refreshments. Those attending included Sonnie Thompson, Bever, Lee, Sue Willcox and Reece.
