Carthage Literary Club Hosts Post-Show Meeting

March 14, 2007 - The Carthage Literary Circle had its meeting a week late due to snow. The 11 members present were happy to be out and socializing.

The topic for the night was presented by Judy Neal. Her subject was an author, Beverly Lewis, who penned several inspirational novels. Neal’s presentation sparked ample interest in Lewis’s work. Five of her books were checked out of the library later that night.

The most recent meeting of the Carthage Literary Circle was March 13. The program was presented by David and Luella Porter. The couple discussed the success of their chicken farm. The meeting started at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of Carthage’s Henry Henry Public Library, 102 N. Main.

At the April 10 meeting, the program will revolve around Indiana authors. This program will be presented by some Carthage Elementary School fourth graders, who are doing a poster contest at school.
