 Clever Clovers Hold Meeting

February 28, 2007 - The Wayne Township Clever Clovers met recently. President Jessica VanOsdol led the meeting, held February 19 at Knightstown United Methodist Church (KUMC).

Pledges to the American and 4-H flags were led by Abby Winters and Joe Haase. Twenty-three members responded to roll call with their middle name. Janice Ortman read minutes. Travis VanOsdol gave the treasurer’s report. Dean Thomas gave a health and safety report on carbon dioxide. Joe Haase demonstrated on five different ways of pitching a baseball. Emily Thomas gave a demonstration on how to make a cheese ball. Kori Biehl gave a demonstration on a way to make a card. Brittany Brown and Amanda Silver provided refreshments. The meeting was adjourned for a game of bingo led by Danny Ortman.

Enrollment is due by April 1. There is a fee for registering after the deadline. Online registration is available at www.four-h.purdue.edu/enroll. The county fair dates are July 12-21 and the state fair dates are August 8-18.

The next meeting is scheduled for March 2 at 6:30 p.m. at KUMC.
