 Scott Eric Hembree

 June 24, 1968 - November 2, 2009

Scott Eric Hembree photo     Scott Eric Hembree, 41, of Knightstown, died Nov. 2 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
     He was born June 24, 1968, in New Castle, a son of Harold W. Hembree, Jr., of Anderson and Beverley (Thompson) McComiskey of Knightstown.
     Mr. Hembree graduated with honors from ITT, where he earned an associate’s degree in applied science. He was employed at EMC, where he worked as a project manager for the company’s commercial Midwest division of the technology solutions group. Mr. Hembree coached boys and girls basketball at Tri High School. He also coached his daughter in softball. An avid music lover, he played guitar, drums and keyboards. He enjoyed riding four wheelers and dirt bikes, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family, particularly while playing video games.
     In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Robin Rene Hembree of Knightstown; two daughters, Brittney (husband, Travis) VanOsdol and Madison Hembree, all of Knightstown; a son, Grayson Hembree of Knightstown; a brother, Jeff (wife, Sheila) Hembree of Columbia, S.C.; a niece, Erica Hembree of Columbia, S.C.; a nephew, Tyler Smith of Kokomo; his mother and father-in-law, Reno and Delana Smith of Kokomo; two brothers-in-law, Derek and Chad Smith of Kokomo; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kelly and Grace Thompson; and his paternal grandparents, Harold and Eunice Hembree.
     Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Revs. David Cornelius and Steve Branstutter officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at the funeral home.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Madison and Grayson Hembree Trust Fund.
