 Ruby Lucille Miller

 June 25, 1912 - October 14, 2009

     Ruby Lucille Miller, 97, formerly of Knightstown, died Oct. 14 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
     She was born June 25, 1912, in Salem, a daughter of the late Thomas and Elsa (Spaulding) Hinds.
     A 1930 Salem High School graduate, Mrs. Miller worked as a medical secretary for the New Castle state hospital for 30 years.
     Survivors include a son, Vaughn (wife, Betty) Miller of New Castle; a daughter, Sharon K. Goble of Shelbyville; five grandchildren, Debra (husband, James) Dick of New Castle, Bryan J. Miller of Greenwood, Brent Miller of New Castle, Shannon Goble of Shelbyville and Joe (wife, Anna) Goble of Lafayette; four great-grandsons, Bradley and Brandson Wolfe and Christopher and Jonathan Miller.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Miller; a brother, Russell Hinds; a daughter-in-law, Linda Miller; a granddaughter, Teresa Miller; and a son-in-law, Don Goble.
     Funeral services were Oct. 19 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Capt. Shannon Benner officiating. Burial followed at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition, in New Castle. Visitation was Oct. 19 at the funeral home.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Knightstown Public Library.
