 DeLois M. Leisure

 May 14, 1926 - October 8, 2009

 

DeLois M. Leisure, 83, of Knightstown, died Oct. 8 at Brandywine Nursing Home in Greenfield.

She was born May 14, 1926, in Henry County.

Mrs. Leisure lived most of her life in Knightstown and was a Knightstown High School graduate. She was self-employed as a home decorator, having retired years ago. She was a member of Knightstown Christian Church, Knightstown Business and Professional Women, American Legion Post 152 Auxiliary and the Raleigh Community Center.

Survivors include two sons, Reginald (wife, Jacqueline) Leisure and Thomas Earl Leisure, all of Knightstown; a daughter, Leah Brownfield of Indianapolis; a brother, Darrell Scott of Knightstown; a sister, Beatrice McConnell, formerly of Fortville; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman E. Leisure and two brothers.

Funeral services were Oct. 13 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. Mervin Kilmer officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was Oct. 12 at the funeral home.
