 Willie C. Thompson

 March 7, 1924 - September 22, 2009

 

Willie C. Thompson, 85, died Sept. 22 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rushville.

She was born March 7, 1924, in Byrdstwon, Tenn., a daughter of the late Willis and Rebecca (Mullens) Lee.

She and her husband owned and operated Thompson Family Restaurant in Knightstown for 20 years. She was a member of Knightstown Church of God.

Survivors include a son, Dallas (wife, Saundra) Thompson of Knightstown; two daughters, Phyllis (husband, Whitey) Roland of Spiceland and Bonnie Mueller of Lewisville; seven grandchildren, Diana (husband, Al) Arellano, Linda (husband, Jeff) Lane, Brenda (husband, Jason) Greene, Lisa (husband, Tony) Butler, Abby (husband, Ryan) Davis, Kyly Roland and Keitha (husband, Barry) Miller; eight great-grandchildren, Kelton and Colby Lane, Blayne and Justin Greene, Seth and Syrus Butler, Zach Davis and Carter Cline; a brother, Lewis Reed (wife, Oradean) Lee of Knightstown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett E. Thompson and 12 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were Sept. 26 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Mark Herbkersman officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation was Sept. 25 at the funeral home.
