 Mary M. Tutrow

 June 18, 1926 - September 18, 2009

Mary M. Tutrow photo     Mary M. Tutrow, 83, of Greenfield, formerly of Knightstown, died Sept. 18 at Brandywine Golden Living Center in Greenfield.
     She was born June 18, 1926, in New Castle, a daughter of the late Leonard and Alta (Harwood) Young.
     Mrs. Tutrow was an Indiana Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Children’s Home graduate. She worked most of her life in the Knightstown area at both Taste Freeze and Ernie’s Supermarket. She also worked for a short time at Leiberman Enterprises in Indianapolis. Mrs. Tutrow was a member of Hope Rebecca Lodge #114 and she was a foster parent for the Henry County Head Start program. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
     Survivors include two granddaughters, Traci (husband, Scott) Morgan and Jana (husband, Aaron) Burton, both of Knightstown; four great-grandchildren, Haley and Hannah Morgan and Macy and Tyler Burton; a sister, Imogene Litweiler of Indianapolis; a brother, Russell White of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; two sons, James Tutrow and Jack Tutrow; two sisters, Verdie Nugent and Sara Roland; and three brothers, Junior and James Young and Charles Lineback.
    Funeral services were September 21 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Ryan McCarty officiating. Graveside funeral services were Sept. 22 at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was Sept. 21 at the funeral home.
