 Linda K. Cook

 September 20, 1946 - September 16, 2009

    Linda K. Cook, 62, of Wilkinson, died Sept. 16 at her home.
     She was born Sept. 20, 1946, in Hancock County, a daughter of the late Albert and Verna (Gulley) Coomer.
     Mrs. Cook and her mother owned and operated Coomer’s Cut and Sew Upholstery for 30 years. She also worked at Western Electric in Indianapolis and served as the ticket clerk at Anderson Speedway. Mrs. Cook was a member of Anderson Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, Gene; two daughters, Rhonda Cook and Regenea Johnson, both of Wilkinson; a son, Chuck Cook of Wilkinson; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Carol Bever, Gail Kiser and Debbie Kissick; and two brothers, Allen Coomer and David Coomer.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Coomer; and a son-in-law, Anthony Johnson.
     Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Gary Meeker officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation is 5 p.m. until time of services on Sept. 24.
