 Edwin Orville Pasko

 July 1, 1913 - September 11, 2009

Edwin Orville Pasko photo    Edwin Orville Pasko, 96, of Shirley, died September 11 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.
     He was born July 1, 1913, in Huntington, a son of the late George and Laura (Glick) Pasko.
     Mr. Pasko and his brother, Elmer, operated Emporia Grain Elevator from 1948 until their retirement in 1981. He was a member of Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church, where he served as organist for over 40 years. He also taught Sunday school and held various leadership positions.
     Survivors include his wife, Ethel, of Shirley; a daughter, Ruth (husband, Frank) Almeida of Pendleton; a son, Rex (wife, Cathy) Pasko of Pendleton; a daughter-in-law, Annabelle Pasko Wilson of Greenfield; seven granddaughters, Debbie (husband, Brian) Froman, Amy (husband, Brandon) Blackwell, Pam (husband, Todd) Carlton of Wilkinson, Elaine (husband, Matt) Landis of Greenfield, Anissa (husband, Chris) Conley of Muncie, Laura Almeida of Danville and Jennifer Pasko of Indianapolis; a grandson, Ed Almeida of Clarksville; a sister, Wilma Largent of Angola; 15 great-grandchildren; four stepchildren; 12 stepgrandchildren; 19 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-great-grandchild.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen (Scott) Pasko; his second wife, Barbara (White) Pasko; two children, Raymond Pasko and Barbara (Pasko) Willis; three granddaughters, Jill and Julie Pasko and Denise Willis; three sisters; a brother; and a stepson.
     Funeral services were Sept. 16 at Shirley-Wilkinson Community United Methodist Church in Shirley with Rev. Jennifer Charles officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was Sept. 15 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shirley Wilkinson United Methodist Church.
