 Ronald B. Veach

 February 10, 1919 - September 3, 2009

Ronald B. Veach photo    Ronald B. Veach, 90, of Knightstown, died Sept. 3 at Columbia Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisc.
     He was born Feb. 10, 1919, in Thornville, Ohio, a son of the late Alva and Mary (Carroll) Veach.
     Mr. Veach was a Knightstown High School graduate who served as an Army Air Force flight engineer during World War II. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a former commander of Knightstown American Legion Post 152. Mr. Veach was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Shrine Club, the Glen Cove Cemetery Board and Center Christian Church. He enjoyed aviation and golf.
     Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Clarke of Whitefish Bay, Wisc.; a grandson, Rob (wife, Emily) Clarke; a great-grandson, Samuel of Evanston, Ill.; a brother, Carroll (wife, Mildred) Veach of Sandy Hook, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred; and three brothers, Ralph, Lewis and Alva Veach, Jr.
    Funeral services were September 8 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. Bill Worrell officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown with full military graveside rites conducted by Knightstown American Legion Post 152. Visitation was Sept. 8 at the funeral home.
