 Becky A. Chastain

 Mar. 7, 1923 - July 6, 2009

Becky A. Chastain, 86, of Mooresville, formerly of Knightstown, died July 6 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

She was born March 7, 1923, in Pana, Ill., a daughter of the late Cecil and Drucilla (Matthews) Allen.

Mrs. Chastain graduated from Pana (Ill.) High School. She worked at Western Electric for 29 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Telephone Pioneers for America. A former Knightstown resident, Mrs. Chastain also lived in Cape Coral, Fla.

Survivors include her husband, John Chastain; a son, Gary (wife, Nancy) Sarver of Mooresville; a sister, Avalene Toney of Pana, Ill.; three grandchildren, Beth Ann Davis, Raymond Sarver and Gary Michael Sarver; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday, June 10, at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at the funeral home.
