 Audrey P. Snedegar

 Apr. 29, 1927 - July 5, 2009

Audrey P. Snedegar, 82, of New Castle, died July 5 at her home.

She was born April 29, 1927, in Nitro, W.V., a daughter of the late Wilbur Moses and Nora Florence (Switzer) Beasley.

Mrs. Snedegar was a member of Center Christian Church near Mays for many years. She was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed reading and working on jigsaw puzzles.

Survivors include five children, Alan (wife, Beth) Snedegar of Vermontville, Mich., Eileen (husband, Andy) Armstrong of Rushville, Jeff (wife, Becky) Snedegar of Bloomington, Lonnie (husband, Doug) May of New Castle and Brenda (husband, Brian) De Bruhl of Shirley; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte (husband, Charles) Whaley of Leesburg, Fla., and Ruby (husband, Butch) Cassidy of Salt Lick, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lacy Snedegar; a daughter, Karen Sparks; two brothers, Wilbur and Henry Beasley; two sisters, Juanita Williams and Judy McKenzie; and a granddaughter, Angela May.

Funeral services were July 8 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Marion Hickman officiating. Burial followed at Center Cemetery near Mays. Visitation was July 7 at the funeral home.
