 Johnny Erasmo Castellanos

 May 31, 1983 – June 12, 2009

    Johnny Erasmo Castellanos, 26, of Kennard, died June 12 at his home.
     He was born May 31, 1983 in Honduras.
     Mr. Castellanos was known as an extremely friendly person who enjoyed music and video games. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
     Survivors include his parents, Kenneth and Karen Harwood of Kennard; four brothers, David Smith, Jeremy (wife, Jennifer) Harwood, Austin Harwood and Ray Harwood; two nieces, Kylee and Kayla Harwood; a nephew, Drew Harwood; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and his maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother.
     He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Pearl Stephens.
     Funeral services were June 16 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Dillard Cole officiating. Burial followed at Hicksite Cemetery in Greensboro. Visitation was June 16 at the funeral home.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the Johnny Castellanos Memorial Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
