Lucille S. Farmer
July 26, 1924 – June 7, 2009
Lucille S. Farmer, 84, of rural Shirley, died June 7 at Cumberland Point Nursing Home in West Lafayette.
She was born July 26, 1924, in Grinnell, Iowa, a daughter of the late Pierce and Verta (Chriswell) Miller.
Mrs. Farmer was a member of Kennard Christian Church, Willing Workers of the Church, Shirley Order of the Eastern Star #492, the Locust Grove Club and the Alpha Club.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Farmer of Lafayette and Jim Farmer of Anderson; one grandson, Drew Farmer of Greenwood; a daughter-in-law, Candi Farmer of Shirley; two stepgrandchildren, Pat and Jennifer Farmer; a brother, David (wife, Deloris) Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Farmer; a stepson, Robert A. Farmer II; and four brothers, Lawrence Miller, Earl Miller, Howard Miller and Lyle Miller.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, June 12, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial will follow at Mechanicsburg Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Robert and Lucille Farmer Memorial Scholarship at the Henry County Community Foundation, 700 S., Memorial Dr., P.O. Box 6006, New Castle, 47362.
