 Thomas F. Polley

 July 4, 1932 – May 31, 2009

Thomas F. Polley photo    Thomas F. Polley, 76, of Markleville, died May 31 at his home.
     He was born July 4, 1932, in Hancock County, a son of the late Frank and Stella (Short) Polley.
     Mr. Polley retired from Western Electric, was a lifelong farmer and an avid horseman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
     Survivors include his wife, Gala (Smith) Polley of Markleville; two daughters, Sandy (husband, Rick) Arnold of Greenfield and Penny (husband, Gary) Goudy of Shirley; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lucy Rogers, Lela Raikes, Marie Buckman, Dorothy Moore and Frances Macy; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Thomas R. Polley; a daughter, Darla L. Braden; a brother, Charles Polley; and two sisters, Laura Morgan and Juanita Nigh.
     Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Ted Hagel officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 3 at the funeral home.
    Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
