 Mary Eleanor Bash

 July 10, 1917 – May 23, 2009

Mary Eleanor Bash, 91, of McCordsville, formerly of Carthage, died May 23 at her home.

She was born July 10, 1917, in Hancock County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Blonda (Wicker) Cox.

Mrs. Bash was a secretary for United Screw Products and was a member of East Street Christian Church in Carthage, Kappa Kappa Sigma sorority, 50 Plus Club and the Home Economics Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Sally L. Presser of McCordsville; a son, Larry N. (wife, Sharron) Bash of New Castle; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Louise Shelten of Carmel.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth D. Bash; and a brother, Lowell Cox.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor David Bonne officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to East Street Christian Church in Carthage.
