Dorothy E. Marshall
Dec. 2, 1923 – May 24, 2009
Dorothy E. Marshall, 85, of Willow Branch, died May 24 at her home.
She was born Dec. 2, 1923, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Calloway and Smara (Collins) Isaacs.
Mrs. Marshall was a Hancock County Jail cook for over 15 years. She was a member of Willow Branch United Methodist Church and a 60-year member of The County Harmony Home Economics Club. An avid artist, Mrs. Marshall enjoyed harness racing.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Parks of Willow Branch, Brenda (husband, Greg) Troy of Pendleton and Judy (husband, Don) of Willow Branch; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Hazel Rozzell, Joan McClarnon, Charlene (husband, Lester) Johnson, Marilyn (husband, Delbert) Runyon and Jane (husband, Bill) Miller; and three brothers, Bill (wife, Ruth) Isaacs, Jack (wife, Barbara) Delhagen and Everett (wife, Barbara) Delhagen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mahlon; a daughter, Jeannette Stevens; an infant son, Steven; two brothers, Wayne and Robert Isaacs; and two sisters, Mayme Pass and Juanita Johnson.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 28, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Adam Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Willow Branch United Methodist Church.
