 Mildred L. Curtis

Mildred L. Curtis photo    Mildred L. Curtis, 86, of Maxwell, died May 13 at Golden Living Center in Greenfield.
     She was born March 7, 1923, in Knightstown, a daughter of the late George R. and Mary (Kender) Bowman.
     Mrs. Curtis was a member of the Conservation Club and Eden Order of the Eastern Star #101. She was a homemaker and an avid bingo player.
     Survivors include four daughters, Barbara A. Curtis and Deborah (husband, Ron) Martin, all of Greenfield, Janna S. (husband, Brian) Grubbs of Ludlow Falls, Ohio, and Tammi L. (husband, Daniel) Gassert of New Palestine; a son, Marion D. (wife, Judy) Curtis of New Palestine; a brother, George Bowman of Wisconsin; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion D. Curtis, Sr., and a great-grandchild, Vanessa Ann Reier.
     Funeral services were May 18 at Stillinger Family Funeral Home with Pastor Sally Dickerson officiating. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield; Visitation was two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 941 E. 86th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240-1842.
