Daisy M. Lee

Daisy M. Lee, 85, of Knightstown, died April 17 in Greenfield.
She was born Aug. 12, 1923, in Surry County, N.C., a daughter of the late Early and Emma (Hayes) Steele.
Mrs. Lee was a homemaker for many years, but had worked in Lawrence and Anderson in the 1950s. She lived in Anderson since June 2008, having lived in Knightstown for 41 years. Mrs. Lee attended South Memorial Drive Church of God in New Castle for many years.
Survivors include her daughter, Marcia (husband, Paul) Lund of Anderson; a son, Timothy (wife, Carol) Lee of Knightstown; five grandchildren, Mark (wife, Karen) Lund of Seattle, Wash., Cindy (husband, Roy) Bauer of Greenwood, Julie (husband, Joel) Workman of Columbus, Ohio, Rebekah Lee of Atlanta, Ga., and Elizabeth Lee of Indianapolis; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Clifton of Rossville, Ga.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Osmyn “Roy” Lee; three brothers, Henry, Fred and James Steele; a sister, Phoebe Lane; and a great-granddaughter, Lauren Bauer.
Funeral services were April 21 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Paul Lund officiating. Burial followed in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was April 20 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Children of Promise, Inc., P.O. Box 2316, Anderson, IN 46018.
