Maryann Strader

Maryann Strader, 84, of Shirley, died April 6 at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson. She was born Oct. 7, 1924, in Shirley, a daughter of the late Floyd and Allie (VanDuyn) Kitterman.
Mrs. Strader was a lifelong farmer’s wife who attended Shirley-Wilkinson United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and Alpha Club. Mrs. Strader enjoyed quilting and collecting Horseman dolls.
Survivors include her husband, Garold Strader of Shirley; a daughter, Peggy (husband, Jim) Berrier of St. Augustine, Fla.; a son, John (wife, Mary) Strader of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Aaron Berrier of Jacksonville, Scott Berrier of Fort Bragg, N.C., and John Strader Jr., of Fort Campbell, Ky.; and four great-grandchildren, Alec Berrier, Bryce Berrier, Ladaya Berrier and Evelyn Ann Berrier.
Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 11, at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Jeffery Mair officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, April 10, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
