 Ardell (Harris) Polston

 April 29, 1926 – March 25, 2009

Ardell (Harris) Polston photo    Ardell (Harris) Polston, 82, of Greenfield, died March 25 at Brandywine Golden Living Center in Greenfield.
    She was born April 29, 1926, in Russell Springs, Ky., a daughter of the late Orlando and Burcella Harris.
     Mrs. Polston was a Russell Springs High School graduate and a 1982 retiree of Western Electric, where she worked as an assembler for many years. She was a member of Faith Chapel Independent Baptist Church in Knightstown.
     Survivors include her daughters, Vickie Thompson of Greenfield and Judy Canter of Knightstown; a sister, Marcella “Margie” Hoy of Noblesville; four grandchildren, Wendy (husband, Mike) Leonard of Wilkinson, Troy (wife, Angie) Bass of Greenfield; Barbara (husband, Patrick) Kamminga of Greenfield and Darin (wife, Emily) Canter of Indianapolis; and six great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Garrett, Ronnie, Raegan, Austin and Kyla.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rova F. Polston; two brothers, Grady Harris and Tink Harris; and a sister, Ethel Johnson.
     Funeral services were March 28 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with Brother Randy Gross officiating. Burial followed at Park Cemetery in Greenfield; Visitation was March 27 at the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9135 N. Meridian St., Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209-7109.
