 Richard “Dick” Wolski

 December 20, 1931 – March 17, 2009

Richard “Dick” Wolski, 77, of Shirley, died March 17 at Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.

He was born Dec. 20, 1931, in Anderson, a son of the late Jacob and Audrey (Love) Wolski.

Mr. Wolski owned and operated Wolski Brothers Texaco in Shirley for several years. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of Shirley Masonic Lodge #531 and Korean War Veterans. Mr. Wolski was an avid hunter, sportsman and auto racing enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wolski of Shirley; three daughters, Cindy (husband, Charlie) Roberts of Wilkinson, Brenda Wolski of Crown Point and Karen (husband, Jim) Rash of Wilkinson; a daughter-in-law, Kristi Wolski of Shirley; four grandchildren, Terri (husband, Dave) McCune, Jared Wolski, Evan Roberts and Danny Rash; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Garrison and Madison McCune; four stepgrandchildren, Andy (wife, Tara) Rash, Emily (husband, Joseph) Bounds, Amy (husband, Andy) Bennett and Lizzy (husband, Jacob) Wheatley; five stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Anna Kennedy of Shirley; two brothers, Robert Wolski of Shirley and Dale Wolski of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steve Wolski; a sister, Audrey Snider; and three brothers, Jacob, Donald and Walter Wolski.

Funeral services were March 20 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Jim Jackson officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation was March 20 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shirley Volunteer Fire Department.
