 Maxine J. Carroll

 November 19, 1923 – March 15, 2009

Maxine J. Carroll, 85, formerly of Greenfield and Carthage, died March 15.

She was born Nov. 19, 1923, a daughter of the late Edward and Minola Stephens.

Mrs. Carroll was a 1942 Knightstown High School graduate. She worked as a homemaker for many years and was a member of East Street Christian Church in Carthage.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Carroll of Austin, Texas, and Pat Carroll of Bloomington; a daughter, Deanna S. “Dee” Whitaker of Greenfield; a sister, Thelma Bundy of New Castle; and three grandchildren, Bill, Janet and Christine.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward P. Carroll.

Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield with Pastor David Bonne officiating.. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was March 18 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hancock Regional Hospice, 801 N. State St., Greenfield, IN 46140.
