 Genevee J. Davis

 October 1, 1928 – February 26, 2009

Genevee J. Davis, 80, of Knightstown, died February 26 at her home.

She was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Dublin, a daughter of the late Delbert and Ruby (Vandyne) Maxwell.

Mrs. Davis lived in Knightstown most of her life and was a member of Knightstown Church of God. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts.

Survivors include three sons, Clarence Edward (wife, Patricia) Davis of Shirley, William H. (wife, Bonnie) Davis, Jr., of Carthage and James Dale (wife, Lisa) Davis of Knightstown; eight daughters, Shelby (husband, C.R.) Clowers of Allendale, S.C., Rebecca F. (husband, James) Williams of Greenfield, Wilma J. Davis of Knightstown, Nancy A. (husband, Roger) Hamilton of Knightstown, Nancy A. (husband, Kenneth) Mast of Knightstown, Cindy L. (husband, Larry) Benefiel of Greenfield, Lora A. (husband, Larry) Lewman of Knightstown and Jennifer A. (husband, Rick) Thompson of New Castle; 39 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; two sons, Howard Steven Davis and David Patrick Davis; a daughter, Ruby Frances Davis; one brother; four sisters; and one grandchild.

Funeral services were March 2 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Brother Earley Hall officiating. Burial followed at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was March 1 at the funeral home.
