 Everett E. Trees, Sr.

 February 2, 1912 – February 18, 2009

Everett E. Trees, Sr., 97, of Greenfield, formerly of Warrington, died February 18 at Regency Place in Greenfield.

He was born in Warrington on Feb. 2, 1912, a son of the late Elmer E. and Laura (Keller) Trees.

Mr. Trees was a lifelong farmer. He was also a member and officer of Warrington Church of the Nazarene. He and his late wife, Ruth, owned and operated Trees’ Trailer Sales in Warrington for 25 years. Mr. Trees also served as a school bus driver for 16 years for Wilkinson schools. He also worked at McCray Cemetery for many years.

Survivors include a son, Everett (wife, Joni) Trees, Jr., of Wilkinson; two daughters, Linda (husband, Paul) Litten of Charlottesville and Holly (husband, Joel) Trees-Miller of Wilkinson; 12 grandchildren, Melitta, Jonathan, Eric, Christy, Paul R. II, Dennis, Pamela, Chad, Joel S., Jason, Zarah and Marilla; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Dotson) Trees; a grandson, Jeffrey; two brothers, Russell and Forest; and two sisters, Eva Keesling and Cecille Harris.

Funeral services were February 24 at Warrington Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Todd Reynolds and Rev. Norwood Kreuzinger officiating. Burial follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was February 23 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Warrington Church of the Nazarene.
