 Isabella Baker Abner

 April 1, 1938 – Jan. 23, 2009

Isabella Baker Abner, 70, of Shirley, died January 23 at her home.

She was born April 1, 1938, in Johnetta, Ky., a daughter of the late Henry and Lona (Ballinger) Baker.

Mrs. Abner was employed as a hostess. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Abner; three sons, Gary and Greg Cotton of Indianapolis, and Timothy Cotton of Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters, Angila Scott and Michelle Abner (husband, Charles) White of Indianapolis; two sisters, Hazel Fowler of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Zelma Mullins of Mt. Vernon, Ky.; three brothers, J.D. Baker, Edd Baker and Fred Cook, all of Mt. Vernon, Ky.; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.

Funeral services were January 27 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was prior to funeral services.
