 Tambra E. Cleek Marcum

 March 2, 1960 – Jan. 17, 2009

Tambra E. (Hamilton) Cleek Marcum, 48, of Knightstown, died January 17.

She was born March 2, 1960, in Rushville, a daughter of Donald Hamilton and Faye Chandler.

Ms. Marcum was a 1978 Knightstown High School graduate who later graduated from Michael’s Beauty Academy in New Castle. She was a hairdresser for over 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. Ms. Marcum was known as a generous person and one would help others in need.

Survivors include her daughter, Lindsay Cleek of Indianapolis; two sisters, Tonya Stearns of Spiceland and Trudy (husband, Michael) Heller of Carthage; two brothers, Tony (wife, Terri) Hamilton and Timothy Hamilton, all of Knightstown; her father and stepmother, Donald and Elizabeth Hamilton of Unionville; her mother and stepfather, Faye and David Chandler of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Treva Hamilton; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services are at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. Burial will take place at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22. Visitation is 5 p.m. until time of services on Jan. 21. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tambra E. (Hamilton) Cleek Marcum memorial fund with the envelopes available at the funeral home.
