 Justin Ryan Steinwachs

 April 13, 1984 – Jan. 17, 2009

Justin Ryan Steinwachs, 24, of Elwood, formerly of Carthage, died January 17 in Elwood.

He was born April 13, 1984, in Henry County, a son of Lindsey and Darlene Steinwachs.

Mr. Steinwachs was a 2002 Knightstown High School graduate. He worked as a welder in Frankton. He enjoyed NASCAR racing, hunting, fishing, racing cars, working on cars and spending time with his daughter.

Survivors include his parents; his wife, Lorenda Steinwachs of Elwood; a daughter, Victoria Steinwachs of Elwood; two stepdaughters, Angie and Ashley Geiselback of Elwood; a stepson, Danny J. Geiselback of Elwood; a brother, Lucas Steinwachs of Carthage; a grandson, Kaisen Bixby; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Derell and Louise Logan of Elwood; paternal grandparents, June Steinwachs of Carthage and William and Joan Steinwachs of Cadiz, Ky.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Raymond and Betty Dick.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday, January 23, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Jack Hannum officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Carthage. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, January 22, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Victoria Steinwachs trust fund at Citizens State Bank.
