 William B. “Pops” McQueen

 April 19, 1931 – Jan. 4, 2008

William McQueen photo    William B. “Pops” McQueen, 77, of Indianapolis, died January 4 at his home.
    He was born April 19, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, a son of the late Bruce and Mary Elizabeth (Hammock) McQueen.
    Mr. McQueen was a member of the Moose lodge and the Baptist church. He enjoyed fishing, karaoke, poker and bingo.
    Survivors include his five children, Vickey (husband, Tony) Ritchie of Kennard, Joyce (husband, Earl) Hammons of Indianapolis, Lauretta Dillon of Indianapolis, Billy (wife, Nicole) McQueen of New Palestine and Brucie Johnson of Indianapolis; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Hazel McQueen of Hillard, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Crypto and Mary Ann Wilkinson; a grandson, Earl Adams; and a great-grandson, Zachary Gard.
    Funeral services are Wednesday, January 7, at 7 p.m. at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Rev. Jack Hannum officiating. Visitation is 5 p.m. until time of services on January 7. Burial will take place at noon on Thursday, January 8, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.
