 Hollis E. Lewman

 Dec. 4, 1934 – Dec. 12, 2008

Hollis E. Lewman, 74, of Markleville, died December 12 at his home.

He was born Dec. 4, 1934, in Raysville, a son of the late Samuel and Virgie (Planck) Lewman.

Mr. Lewman retired from Guide Lamp in Anderson in 1994. He was a member of Shirley Christian Church and he graduated from Charlottesville High School in 1952. Mr. Lewman was an avid golfer, water skier, camper and gardener.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille (Zornes) Lewman of Markleville; a daughter, Robin (husband, Mark) Kridler of Anderson; three grandchildren, Melissa Toombs, Levi Mosby and Darreck Pierce; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Mosby and Nolan Paven; two sisters, Mildred Stillwell of New Castle and Wanda Walker of Raleigh; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Vicki Lewman; four brothers, Curtis, Ralph, Joe and David Lewman; and a sister, Ruth Hewson.

Funeral services were December 16 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Gary Sickle officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was December 15 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Hospital Children’s Foundation.
