Deloris E. Calvert
Oct. 7, 1921 – Dec. 12, 2008
Deloris E. (Harris) Calvert, 87, of Wilkinson, died December 12 at her home.
She was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Douglas, Kan., a daughter of the late Omer and Mable Harris.
Mrs. Calvert was a 1939 Anderson High School graduate. She worked at Delco Remy in Anderson during World War II. She also worked at the Wilkinson Post Office from 1978-1990. She was a member of Wilkinson Church of Christ and was a former secretary for the Wilkinson Brotherhood and Sisterhood. She lived in Wilkinson for 60 years.
Survivors include four children, Mike (wife, Connie) Calvert of Markleville, Lou (wife, Cecilia) Calvert of Pendleton, David Calvert of Middletown and Debi (husband, Tony) Renfro of Wilkinson; a brother, Don (wife, Gale) Harris of Leesburg; a sister-in-law, Nora Harris; six grandchildren, Brad and Steve Calvert of Middletown, Mark (wife, Nicole) Calvert of Fishers, Lisa (husband, Jason) George of Pendleton, Brandon of New Castle, Jessica Renfro of Morristown; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a brother, Harold Harris; and two sisters, Madeline Hamm and Barbara Dew. Funeral services were December 17 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Russ Lutes officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was December 16 at the funeral home.
