 Sarah Darling

 Oct. 9, 1923 – Dec. 3, 2008

Sarah Darling, 85, died December 3 at Henry County Memorial Hospital in New Castle.

She was born Oct. 9, 1923, a daughter of the late Jesse and Ethel (Whetsell) Estelle.

Mrs. Darling worked at Indiana Knitware in Greenfield. She also worked as a cashier for several years at Lockridge Market in Kennard. She was a member of Kennard Friends Church and was an avid bowler at Rose Bowl in New Castle.

Survivors include a daughter, Debbie Labrecque of Knightstown; a son, Terry (wife, Donita) Darling of Parker City; a sister, Doris (husband, Percy) Reynolds of Wilkinson; six grandchildren, Josh Perry, Katie (husband, Brent) Gray, Jay (wife, Shilo) Darling, Eric (wife, Sheri) Darling, Michelle McCallister and Allan Harding; four great-grandchildren, Danielle, Brandy, Nicholas and Clay; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll L. Darling; and a sister, Berniece Trent.

Funeral services were December 6 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Jacob Brown officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was December 5 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
