 Joseph K. Knott

 Jan. 28, 1931 – Nov. 22, 2008

Joseph Knott photo    Joseph K. Knott, 77, of Knightstown, died November 22 at his home.
    He was born Jan. 28, 1931, in Webster, Ky., a son of the late Rhoda and Agnus (Hardesty) Knott.
     Mr. Knott lived in Knightstown most of his life. He was a 20-year custodian for the Charles A. Beard Memorial School Corporation. He also worked at CCA in Carthage for 18 years. He was a member of Knightstown Christian Church. Mr. Knott was an avid gardener who enjoyed woodworking and hunting dogs.
     Survivors include his wife, Ida (True) Knott of Knightstown; two sons, Charles Knott of Frankfort, Ky., and Kevin (wife, Ann) Knott of Knightstown; a daughter, Kristy Hammonds of Knightstown; a brother, Patrick Knott of Bradenburg, Ky.; four sisters, Florene Springs of Luling, Tx., Ruth Fackler of Bradenburg, Ky., Edna Frantz of Niagra Falls, N.Y., and Shirley (husband, Tenny) Wardrip of Bradenburg, Ky.; three grandsons, Joe Knott III, L.K. Knott and Stefan Prieditis; three granddaughters, Cindy Bitner, Holly Longnecker and Ashley Carter; six great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Jana Knott.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Rose Knott; and three brothers.
     Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 26, at Knightstown Christian Church with Rev. Richard Thayer officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation was November 25 at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Cancer Fund.
