 James L. Stark

 June 9, 1930 – Nov. 21, 2008

James Stark photo    James L. Stark, 78, of Wilkinson, died November 21 at Golden Living Center in Greenfield.
    He was born June 9, 1930, in Rush County, a son of the late John and Sylva (Martin) Stark.
     Mr. Stark was a 1948 Wilkinson High School graduate. He served for several years as a mechanic for the Indiana Department of Transportation, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Charlottesville Lions Club and Wilkinson Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon for many years.
     Survivors include his wife, Loretta (Gustin) Stark; three children, Jon (wife, Pat) Stark of Brownsburg, Jan Farmer of Nashville, Tenn., and Julie (husband, Jeff) Taylor of Catonsville, Md.; six grandchildren, Mitchell (wife, Kendall) Stark of Parker, Colo., Matthew Stark of Brownsburg, Jill (husband, Josh) Shults of Bell Buckle, Tenn., Joy (husband, Jeremiah) Donkin of Lavergne, Tenn., and Jordan and Jared Taylor of Catonsville, Md.; and three great-grandchildren, Brennan, Jada and Jeremiah Donkin of Lavergne, Tenn.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Deane Stark.
     Funeral services were November 25 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Jon Day officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was November 24 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilkinson Church of Christ or Hospice Asera Care of Indianapolis.
