Martha Maye Berry

July 2, 1929 – Nov. 4, 2008

Martha Maye Berry, 79, of Rushville, died November 4 at Flatrock River Lodge in Rushville.

She was born July 2, 1929, in Waynesburg, Ky., a daughter of the late Charles Delbert and Myrte (Jacobs) Thompson.

Mrs. Berry was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Danny (wife, Sheila) Berry and Mark (wife, Julie) Berry, both of Rushville; three daughters, Vicky Kidd and Kay Maupin, both of Rushville, and Tracie (husband, Bill) Hankins of Indianapolis; three brothers, Houston, Albert and Kenneth “Butch” Thompson; three sisters, Shirley Watts, Susie Thompson and Bonnie Foreman; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Edward Berry; two brothers; and two sisters.

Funeral services were November 7 at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial took place at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
