Phillip Denver Roy

Phillip Denver Roy, 63, of New Castle, died November 2 at Henry County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Jan. 11, 1945, a son of the late Eddie Aaron Roy and Lola Margaret (Frye) Roy.
Mr. Roy enjoyed the outdoors and walking in the woods, squirrel hunting and living in the country. His favorite school was at Markleville.
Survivors include five sisters, Barbara Norfleet and Doris Steward of Carthage, Darlus Johnson of Anderson, Sharon (husband, Floyd) Steward of Anderson and Sue (husband, Ric) Moore of Indianapolis; three brothers, Ronnie Roy of Needles, Cal., Roy (wife, Patty) Roy of New Castle and Gary (wife, Jean) Roy of Knightstown; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Sherry Steward and Shelby Hall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Roy; a brother-in-law, Dennie Norfleet; and a nephew, Roger Roy II.
Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 6, at Marcum Community Funeral Home with Rev. Nathan Brewington officiating. Burial will follow at Harlan Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation is 12-2 p.m. Thursday, November 6.
