 Lois V. Snider

 Aug. 2, 1915 – Oct. 23, 2008

Lois Snider photo    Lois V. Snider, 93, of Shirley, died October 23 at Golden Living Center in Greenfield.
    She was born Aug. 2, 1915, in Hancock County, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Margerite (Everett) Bolander.
     Mrs. Snider worked for several years at Kraft Foods in Shirley. She was a mother and homemaker, and was a member of a senior citizens group in New Castle. Mrs. Snider enjoyed playing cards.
     Survivors include three daughters, Sharon (husband, Ralph) Wales of Wilkinson, Charlotte (husband, Neal) Melton of New Castle and Bonnie (husband, Larry) Pritchard of Highland, Tex.; five sons, Floyd Snider of Aurora, Guy (wife, Maude) Snider of Shirley, Steve (wife, Cyndi) Snider of Shirley, Philip (wife, Deana) Snider of Shirley and Chris (wife, Diane) Snider of Allen, Texas; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oak Snider; a son, Ivan Snider; two brothers, Clarence and Ernest Bolander; two sisters, Ada Smith and Julia Catt; a granddaugther, Heather Snider; and a great-grandson, Cory Butcher.
     Funeral services were October 27 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Pastor Jim Jackson officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was October 26 at the funeral home.
