 Beulah V. Mellen

 Oct. 25, 1925 – Oct. 19, 2008

Beulah V. (Chamness) Mellen, 82, formerly of Wilkinson, died October 19 at St. John’s Hospital in Anderson.

She was born Oct. 25, 1925, in Robbins, Tenn., a daughter of the late Lindsay and Lucy (Marsh) Davis.

Mrs. Mellen was a member of Knightstown Church of God. She was an avid bingo player who loved music, crafts, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, singing and playing guitar.

Survivors include a son, Terry (wife, Doris) Riley of Yukon, Okla.; three daughters, Pamela (husband, Larry) Caudill of Anderson, Lynne (husband, Mark) Todd of New Castle and Vicky Hastings of Anderson; 12 grandchildren, Blake and Grant Riley, Amber Record, Christopher Austin, Shannon Hamman, Melanie Bourquine, Lacy Tutrow, Brandon Hastings, Heather Turner, Breanna Todd, Alexis Drew and Ashley Hastings; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Johnson; a brother, Harold Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Mellen; two sisters, Flonnie Ellis and Bonnie Davis; a granddaughter, Emily Hastings; a brother, Howard Davis; and a son, Robert Chamness.

Funeral services were October 22 at Knightstown Church of God with Pastor Early Hall, Elwood Evans and Joe Roysden officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was October 21 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
