 Rebecca S. Lane

 Jan. 17, 1958 – Sept. 25, 2008

Rebecca Lane photo    Rebecca S. “Becky” Lane, 50, of New Castle, died September 25 at her home.
     She was born Jan. 17, 1958, in Rush County, a daughter of the late Robert Eugene “Bob” Lane and Shirley Sue Luellen Crousore.
     Ms. Lane was a 1976 Tri High School graduate. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant for several area nursing homes and she also did private care. Most recently she was employed at Glen Oaks Nursing Home in New Castle. She was also a beautician and a member of Spiceland Methodist Church. She also attended Spiceland Church of the Nazarene. Ms. Lane enjoyed baking and decorating cakes, sewing and embroidery. She moved to New Castle a year ago, but spent time in Spiceland and 20 years in Lewisville.
     Survivors include her stepmother, Sandy Lane of Cambridge City; two sisters, Sharron Lane of Spiceland and Janine Lane of Cambridge City; a brother, Jeremiah “Bub” Lane of New Castle; two nephews, Tyler and Ryan Leeka; and several stepbrothers, stepsisters, aunts, uncles and cousins.
     Funeral services were September 29 at Spiceland Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Allen Southerland officiating.
