 James Richard Harrold

 July 13, 1918 – Sept. 22, 2008

James Richard Harrold, 90, of Morristown, died September 22 at Morristown Manor Nursing Home.

He was born July 13, 1918, in Dunreith, a son of the late Walter and Mae (Vaughn) Harrold.

Mr. Harrold lived most of his life in the Knightstown and Carthage areas. A sales representative for Moorman Feeds, he was a member of the Wayne Township Advisory Board and the East Street Christian Church board. He was also a former Kiwanis Club member.

Survivors include a son, Robert L. (wife, Jean) Harrold of Fargo, N.D.; two daughters, Judy (husband, Bill) Muir of Carthage and Linda (husband, Allen) Burch of Plymouth; a brother, William “Bill” (wife, Joy) Harrold of Knightstown; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Olive; and one grandchild.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 27, at Todd Funeral Home in Knightstown with Rev. David Bonne officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 26, at the funeral home.
