 Gerald Alden Collier

 Sept. 27, 1921 – Sept. 18, 2008

Gerald Alden Collier photo    Gerald Alden Collier, 86, of Greenfield, died September 18 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
     He was born Sept. 27, 1921, a son of the late Orville and Ruby (Burkett) Collier.
     Mr. Collier was a minister for 45 years, having pastored several Friends churches in the area. He was also an accountant for Chrysler Corporation. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Greenfield.
     Survivors include his wife, Jeanne (Wright) Collier of Greenfield; two sons, Allen (wife, Teresa) Collier of Knightstown and Phillip (wife, Melinda) Collier of Tipton; two daughters, Rebecca (husband, Mike) Hopper of Morehead, Ky., and Tamara (husband, Gary) Litten of Greensburg; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Chester Collier, Forrest Collier and Gail Collier; a sister, Gladys Stickler; and a grandson, Kevin Hopper.
     Funeral services were September 22 at Shirley United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Phil B. Collier and Rev. Allen Collier officiating. Burial followed at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson. Visitation was September 21 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church in Greenfield.
